Terms of Service

Last updated 14 September 2026

These are the rules for using AGclips. By making an account you agree to them. They are deliberately short, and they are meant to be fair rather than merely enforceable.

AGclips is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. "We" and "us" mean that company; "you" means you.

1. What AGclips does

You upload a long video. AGclips transcribes it, finds the parts likely to work as short clips, reframes them vertically, adds captions, and gives you the results to download or publish. Nothing about which moments it picks is guaranteed to be right — it is software making a judgement, and you are the one who decides what to post.

2. Your account

You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think somebody else has got into it. One account is for one person or one organisation; do not share credentials with people who should have their own.

You must be at least 16, or old enough to agree to a contract where you live, whichever is greater.

3. Your video stays yours

You keep every right you had in what you upload. We claim no ownership of your footage or of the clips made from it.

You give us permission to do the specific things the product requires: store your files, transcribe them, analyse them, render clips from them, show them back to you, and — only when you press the button — post them to an account you have linked. That permission exists so the software can run. It ends when you delete the material, and it covers nothing else. We do not use your video to train models, to promote AGclips, or for any purpose you have not asked for.

4. What you may not upload

Do not upload anything you do not have the right to use. That is the main one, and it is the one that causes real problems: clipping somebody else's video does not become legal because a tool made it easy.

Also, nothing that:

  • infringes copyright, trade marks, or anybody's likeness rights;
  • is illegal where you are or where our servers are;
  • sexualises children, in any form, ever;
  • incites violence or harassment against people;
  • contains malware, or is an attempt to attack the service.

We can remove content and close accounts that break this. For the third item we will do so immediately and report it.

5. Posting to social platforms

If you link a TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook or Snapchat account, you are still bound by that platform's own rules, and they are the ones who decide what stays up. We pass your clip and your caption to their API and tell you what they said. We cannot appeal a takedown on your behalf, restore a suspended account, or guarantee that a post will succeed.

6. It is free, and it is in beta

AGclips is currently free to use. Because it is in beta:

  • things will break, and features will change or disappear;
  • we may set limits on how much you can process, and change them;
  • there is no uptime guarantee and no support commitment.

If we start charging, we will tell you first and you will get the chance to decide before any money is taken. We will not quietly convert a free account into a paid one.

Keep your own copies of anything you care about. We take reasonable care of your files, but a beta service is not a backup service, and you should not let AGclips be the only place your work exists.

7. Fair use of the service

Rendering video is expensive, so: do not automate bulk uploads, do not try to work around limits, and do not resell access to the service. If your usage is causing a problem we will talk to you before doing anything about it.

8. Closing your account

You can close your account whenever you want, and everything belonging to it is deleted. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; unless it is something serious, we will tell you why and give you a chance to sort it out first, and let you export your work.

9. Liability

AGclips is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the clips it chooses will perform well.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months — which, while the service is free, is nothing.

None of this limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the studio before it takes effect. Continuing to use AGclips after that means you accept the new version.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION], and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law where you live.

Anything unclear, or something you disagree with: [email protected]. A real person reads it.
